Although John Dogma is High(-ish) level, he has rather mediocre gear for his level, that's because I am trying to fully 100% the game and since I'm doing it on hard mode and I almost always carry around a blessed flower, both my Arisen and John Dogma get ALOT of XP. So if he lacks in damage/defense in the late game, sorry (not) :'D.
